Cristina & Jamez

Hooray, we're almost current! Besides one straggling wedding I assisted Leah on a couple months ago...we're pretty much up to date :)

Meet Cristina and Jamez. They came up from San Antonio to have their engagement photos done, and they were pretty shy at first. They did start to come out of their shells soon enough, and things got lots better when Jamez got scared by Hotel San Jose's resident cat!

I photographed this with and for Whitney Lee Photography, so be sure to check out her blog here.

Sonia & Ali

Ali's sister, Saba, asked me to photograph her brother and his soon-to-be wife's reception. While the bride and her family would take care of the wedding the day before, I came to capture the second day of events in which the groom's family puts on a full reception.

I learned a lot, there were beautiful, brightly colored clothes everywhere, and I thank God that I had Olivia with me to help. Olivia, you rock! The bride and groom receive people on a couch in a central location at the reception so that's where most of the photos had to take place :)

Sara & Barry

Sara and Barry had a very Irish-Italian-American mesh of a celebration! The couple met in New Zealand, the groom is from Ireland, and the bride is from America...the guests were from all over :) How could this not be fun?! There were great moments, including when the bride's father cried during his dance with his daughter...their first with her as a married woman. Enjoy more moments below!

I shot this with and for Whitney Lee Photography, so be sure to stop on by and check out Sara's Bridal photos on her blog. You can also check out Sara's bridals from my blog here!

This wedding was before any of the last 4 posts (as will be the case with the next couple of posts), so enjoy my out-of-orderness as well :)

Ali & Cody

Another weekend, another beautiful Catholic wedding! Two right in a row, and another great location too. St. Mary's Cathedral has always been a favorite of mine since moving to Austin, and it must be a fave of the bride and groom...Ali & Cody.

They were a fun couple, and this bride really knows how to get down on the dance floor! I had a great time, and just check out those cute little M&M's with their likeness on it. Also, the groom is a baseball player so there were mitts on the ladies trying to catch the bouquet, too awesome!

I learned right before Ali & Cody tied the knot that they are related to one of the couples from last month, Chelsea and Arthur! They didn't even know they'd both hired Whitney Lee until the deal was already sealed, small world (and good taste)!

It goes without saying, I shot this with and for Whitney Lee Photography so check out Ali & Cody's engagement pictures!

Samantha & Todd

I love St. Albert's, such a pretty church with a really nice priest. I was part of the parish for a while, but more recently I was there to help photograph Samantha & Todd's wedding! It was great to be in a place that I was so comfortable in, and *bonus*, I got to take pictures in it this time around.

Samantha & Todd are a great couple, and they were so sweet. They even shared the spotlight with two friends/family members who had birthdays the same weekend as their wedding. They brought out cakes for them and sang Happy Birthday during the reception :)

As always, I shot this with and for Whitney Lee Photography so check out Samantha & Todd's engagement pictures here!

Julie & Rob

Ah, Julie and Rob. Thank goodness for their wedding because otherwise I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing now. They decided to get married, and they hired Whitney Lee to photograph their wedding. Some time later, I got engaged and interviewed a photographer who used Rob's mom (she owns Bella Notte in Round Rock) as a reference. When I called to check that reference, Rob's mom could do nothing but rave about the photographer Rob and his fiancee Julie had chosen for their wedding.

Eventually I relocated the sticky note where I had scribbled down Whitney's name that day, and I sent her an email. The rest is...well, a history in the making! I got a great wedding photographer for myself, and I got hired to take pictures, which I absolutely love to do!

So, thanks Julie and Rob! They got married at Bella Notte (where else?!), and Julie made the most adorable little bride. I shot this with and for Whitney lee Photography, so check out her site here , and you can see Julie and Rob's engagement pictures (by Whitney) here.
