As usual, your mother is running behind. By the time you can read, you'll definitely know about this flaw of mine. I take on too many things, but I do stay committed! Lately we've been running around like crazy so your letter is late. I wish we were busy/nervous/scared/researching/praying/holding our breath for better reasons, but our little family can handle it. I hope you always know how much we love you, and we never want to hurt you. Everything we do is for you :)
I hope you can throw out the bad memories and keep trusting us that we will always do what's best for you. And remember all the fun things! I am seriously about to get out the video camera to have you show the world all your signs because you look SO proud of yourself when you get them right. THAT'S a memory worth keeping. The big chipmunk smile with the dimples, oh, it just melts my heart! Speaking of signs, you can "say" milk, wash hands, cracker (this one particularly cracks you up), hat, more, and oh geez, I feel like I'm forgetting one. Aah! You try to do some of the others (like banana and water), but they still look a little funky. We're gettin' there!
You still could care less to say anything but "dada". I think this might be your dad's fault. We've always sat down with you and tried to get you to say our respective names so you hear me say "mama" and then him say "dada". So when I tell you to say "mama", I think you feel the appropriate response is "dada" since you hear them together. Whatever, just me theory. It's ok because you totally said "mama" first (even though you dropped it like a hot potato when you learned "dada"); I'll always have that :) And you haven't signed either one yet so I could absolutely get the first parental signage!
You are the best little Booger/Munchkin/Munchky/Nugget/BabySon/Anfernee/Anthony we could have ever hoped or prayed for, and Son, I pray for you often. Every night. A couple of times I've fallen asleep during it because it goes on for so long. But like I tell you all the time, there's nothing I wouldn't do for you. Except maybe be punctual on your baby/toddler letters...yikes!
I'm excited to watch you learn new things every day, and today at Easter was no exception. I think you started to grasp the concept of the Easter egg hunt pretty quick, but you did spend a while talking to that egg like it was your cell phone. Perhaps I'm setting a bad example :) I choose to believe you're just communicative and creative, haha!
Oh, and you're picky now. Really picky. I hear it's common when the molars are coming in. But you can stop that now, thanks :) In case you're curious, you have 10 teeth right now and are working on 2 more. They're molars of course.
I'm a little sad to tuck you in bed every night, and I'm so happy to come get you out of bed every morning. I love you so much, punkin.
