Anthony is 17 Months!

My baby boy is 17 months! Well technically today he's 17 months and 11 days :/ Bad Amanda/Mommy! Anywho, I took some photos him before and after his hair cut so I can see which way I like it. I definitely feel like I like it long. I mean let's face it, he's got those Hagood ears he needs to hide :/

Dear Anthony,

You're 17 months, and I'm trying so hard to keep up. My sweet little boy, you have become defiant lately. You have big opinions on what you want to eat, do, when you want to be strapped in your car seat, etc. We fight a lot of little battles, but I usually sing songs or distract you so I can win :)
You just got your 4th molar to pop through the gums, and I hope that makes you more comfortable. There's been a lot of drooling and finger biting lately. That brings you up to a grand total of 12 teeth, woo! That's more than some of the adults have in the town I came from (ba-ZING!).
You've been to the doctor a lot in the last month, but we got great results on your most recent test so we don't have to go back for 2 months, yay!
You're my special, sweet, adorable, fun-loving, squealing, pooting, blanket-loving little boy that I can't get enough of!

Mother's Day

I had a fabulous Mother's Day this year (unlike the chaos of last year). I went to breakfast with my mom, came back and had lunch with lots of the family, went to the Pecan Street Festival, and then we cooled off in the backyard with a little pool my mom brought. The Pecan Street Festival was way too freaking hot, and I could care less to go back again, at least not with a small child. But cooling off outside was nice. I didn't know how the baby would feel about it because he's only been swimming a few times, and he's usually in a big pool. At first he was hesitant, but it didn't take him long to figure it out it was a blast! I loved my second mother's day!
