Baby and I planned a little trip to Dallas to see Great-Granny, Great-Grandad and Papa. Yes, we have THREE Papa's. Try to keep up. I was supposed to leave on Tuesday, but then Big A calls me bright and early on Monday morning telling me he's too sick to stay at work (I love that he's working before I even get up some days - hehe!), and that we should vacate the house at once because a) he's sick and 2) the weather is supposed to be super storm on Tuesday so we should try to beat the bad weather. I'm game. I could have made a faster getaway, but I was in the process of washing dirty diapers that morning, thinking I was being good because I hadn't planned to need them until the next day.
We had a blessedly uneventful drive, but we were kept inside for a lot of our trip due to the rain. The couple times we did venture out was on foot, and I didn't take my camera (sad face!) because it kept sprinkling, and I was already designated to hold sippy cups, jackets, and baby hands for crossing the street. Oh well, enjoy our indoor goodness :)
Next time I will be sure to snap photos of Anthony playing around in the yard while Granny gardens and pulls weeds. That woman is incapable of passing a weed without ripping it out by the roots. OBSESSED.
Granny bath time! It went better than last year's bath :) http://www.amandahagoodphotography.com/2011/09/grandparent-visits.html
For good measure, here was the first Granny bath: http://www.amandahagoodphotography.com/2010/08/anthonys-first-visit-to-great-granny.html
All the men hanging out in the den together.
Oh, and don't let me forget to mention that I now have a travel problem. Baby figured out how to climb out of the pack n play (in under 2 seconds), so I got zero sleep. We ended up coming home a day early because I was too exhausted to have parties at 2am with him.
Thank you to the Davis Family for leaving Anthony presents! I have to say, Uncle Mike was the big winner with his Melissa and Doug truck set :) I liked it all, but Anthony thought the truck was the best thing ever! I read "Where the Wild Things Are" to him, and I'm excited to watch the movie! I'll have to send you guys pics in the cute outfit you got, too!
