Walkin Man

This little nugget walks pretty well now. If you haven't seen it yet, I've got a nice video for you :) It's hard to capture even though he walks all day because as soon as the camera comes out he has to attack it!

Anthony 14 Months

Dear Anthony,

My little nugget, today you're 14 months. You've done some kind of magic where time just speeds up! Even your Granny remarked on it today. You started walking all of a sudden, and it's so amazing to see. You challenge yourself every day....take more steps, turn around and go back without falling, etc. You're a daredevil in almost every way, and I'm glad that your pediatrician, dentist, and a million other mothers-of-boys told me about this.

You have seven teeth right now, but boy, that eighth one has been aching to pop out. You've suddenly gotten picky on eating, but I did let you discover the delight of an occasional Goldfish cracker so I'm pretty sure you're ruined :) You also LOVE playing with my keys more than ever before. You fuss at me big time when I take them away.

Today at the store you leaned on the side of the stroller all casual with one arm hanging out, just relaxing. It looked so grown up, and I hated it and loved it at the same time! My precious little baby, you're desperately trying to break away and become my precious little boy instead. I'm not ready! I'll do my best to keep up though.

I love you more than you'll ever know and in every imaginable way. You make my whole life brighter.

Mug

I'm drinking out of this mug right now. And I like it.





I need to refill this thing about 20 more times, and then maybe I'll feel alive.

I had the strangest dreams this morning. I was wronged by someone last year, and I had a dream that she took something from me (something tangible), and I had to break into her house to get it. Dream cuts forward to me being in the house. She comes home, and instead of being mad, we totally became friends again. WTH is that about?! Shouldn't we both have been angry?! Shouldn't I have been more concerned about jail time :) Haha!, dream world, you crack me up.

Anthony's First REAL Hair Cut

My baby, MY BABY, got his first big boy hair cut today. I was pretty nervous leading up to today. Will he sit still? Will he cry? Will he jump and get poked by scissors?! Will he jump and lose a big chunk of hair?? All of that worry was for...almost nothing. He got a little antsy a couple of times in the chair, but he calmed down as soon as I sang to him. I'm so glad we asked Maegan to be the official haircutter. My sister-in-law already uses her for Jaden, but my nephew is older so I still wasn't sure how my baby would take it. Maegan was so great with him, and everything was swift and easy. We got exactly what we wanted, no more sheep-dog. Instead we have a stylish, well-groomed look to sport :)

Project for Gigi and Papa

My in-laws celebrated 29 years of marriage in January, and part of our (i.e. "the kids") gift to them was a personalized frame. The other part...a photo of the grandkids to go in it :) This is more difficult than you think. The boys are on total opposite napping schedules. Mine takes two a day, hers one, but they fit together like puzzle pieces end on end until the day is pretty much done (at least in the early sunset days of winter). The few weekends we've had since this project started have been filled with weddings or Jaden spending time with his dad. FINALLY we got both boys together for some cute photos (which included Anthony staying up a little past nap time!). I think I ended up choosing more of the "outtakes" than the moments where they were perfectly smiling at the camera. I love the silly stuff the most :)





































My hippy kid totally needs a hair cut. In the grocery store today people kept telling me I had the most beautiful little girl :) Haha!
