Leesa and Guy had a beautiful wedding at the Caswell House with an intimate crew of family and friends there to support them as they started the next chapter in life.
This is a flashback to November by the way :)
I photographed this with and for Whitney Lee Photography!

Leslie + Jason Engagements
Leslie and Jason are getting married this weekend so it's time to put up the engagement photos! We had a great time, and there wasn't even room on the blog for everything we did. You'll see some samplings from the yarn, guitar playing, record searching and more. I'm uber excited to photograph their wedding because they're genuinely into photography and are concerned with things like LIGHTING. Yes, I love you both...you speak my language.

Maximus's 2nd Birthday!
In honor of our son's birthday yesterday, here are some photos of Maximus...and his tongue.
This first one is out of focus, but WHATEVER, he's still cute!

Salt Lick
Some snaps from my first trip to the Salt Lick (the one in Round Rock - but I still plan to visit the original!). This was a Racker family outing...check out the geek fest! Hahaha, it's my blog, and there's NOTHING you can do about it!

Standard
Such a simple word, standard. Somehow this managed to escape me TWICE yesterday. I feel like my vocabulary shrinks everyday that I run around this busy and neglect the books I love so dearly. That has to be the cause of this.
First scenario: "Whitney, I'd like to drive straight home after the wedding. I would offer to drive, but I can't drive a...a..." I'm thinking, what's the right word?! It's the opposite of automatic. Well my photographer brain says it must be manual then, but I know that's not the word I'm searching for right now. I finally get someone to tell me that it's "standard", but by this point I'm already imagining myself driving a giant lens down the road while it's set to manual focus. Yeah.
Second scenario: I'm describing to Anthony how he sometimes interrupts me even though he makes fun of me for doing the same thing to him. He jokingly says he's allowed to do that, and I tell him that's a...a... Ok, what's the word I'm looking for?! Yes, hypocritical would suffice, but it sounds too harsh for the playful situation. A good 20 seconds after I feel like a ditz, "double-standard" pops into my brain. Nice.
And because blogs are better with photos, see what the hay field in the back yard has turned into.

Victoria + Jon Wedding
January 3rd - Lovely wedding, fun reception at Laguna Gloria with SWING DANCING! It was a great evening, and I loved Victoria's red hair...absolutely gorgeous. First official wedding of the new year! (I know, I'm behind on posting, sue me.)
Bonus: I didn't have an assistant for this shoot so Whitney came to back me up! The first wedding where the tables were turned :) I was glad to have her out with me, even though she was under the weather and would have probably liked to be in bed.
